Directors confirming plans to increase GP training places in
2009
Professor David Sowden, Senior Responsible Owner for MMC, this
week wrote to SHAs to confirm the expansion in GP training places
in 2009, and to ask SHAs to build this into local plans. The letter
includes a list of key planning deadlines leading to the start of
the 2009 specialty recruitment process on 5 January 2009, which
includes:
Indicative numbers of posts from SHAs - 24 October 2008
Final numbers - 21 November 2008
MMC England Programme Board makes recommendations to Ministers -
17 December 2008
2009 posts agreed - 22 December 2008
